BELYSNINGSBRANSCHEN 100 ÅR

What happens to everyday life when the light disappears?

When Belysningsbranschen celebrated its 100th anniversary, we teamed up with Roxx to create a film that puts light at the center of the story. Not as something we simply take for granted in the background, but as an essential part of how we work, learn, feel safe and move through everyday life.

The film begins in darkness. Through a series of moments from everyday life, from elderly care and studying to workplaces and public spaces, we let the light gradually transform both the situations and the feeling of the images. The contrast between darkness and good lighting became the core storytelling device, and a way of making visible something we rarely think about until it is gone.

Visually, we worked with a dark and suggestive expression, using backlight, strong contrasts and small, warm light sources. The camera stays close to the characters and is combined with more abstract details of light and fixtures, allowing light to take on different forms throughout the film.

The result is an anniversary film that looks back on 100 years, while above all showing why good lighting continues to matter in the here and now.
