FÖRÄLDRASTÖD

Lowering the barriers to social services and building genuine trust requires communication rooted in reality. For the City of Malmö, we were commissioned to produce a series of films for the Parent in Malmö initiative, aiming to highlight the everyday lives of the city’s parents with warmth, seriousness, and relatability. The goal was to convey a powerful and essential message, which is that no one has to manage everything alone.

To portray the lives of the different families, we chose a documentary film language where authenticity and presence are the absolute focus. The craft is based on an elevated documentary style. It is a careful visual balancing act where we move between the observational and the staged. By working with real environments and people, we created a raw, warm, and completely true image of the challenges of parenthood without romanticizing.

The cinematic cinematography is characterized by a natural and warm color tone that interacts closely with a music driven soundscape mixed with dialogue. In close collaboration with director Simeon Frohm, we put all our effort into giving the stories exactly the technical and visual weight they deserved. The result is a vivid and true to life production that remains faithful to the truth, packaged with a moving cinematic precision.
